We’ve got your weekend date plans for you, go see the new horror It Comes At Night for major hand-holding and cuddling. In the words of Peter Travers with Rolling Stone Magazine, ” It Comes at Night comes right at you, leaving you unnerved, maybe even a little unhinged — and completely exhilarated”. The movie is categorized as a psychological thriller, and reviews confirm that it absolutely messes with your head the way you would expect.
The movie is brought to you by young up-and-coming writer/director Trey Edwards Shults. He is known for his 2016 indie movie Krisha. Shults creates a tense atmosphere in an unforgiving world centering around a family of survivalists who have isolated themselves out in the woods. The father has strict rules, and will stop at nothing to protect his wife and son from a malevolent, mysterious presence terrorizing them right outside their doorstep.
