Kong: Skull Island New Trailer Ready for Viewing

Kong: Skull Island is the latest film of the King Kong series set to come out March 2017 (mark your calendars)! The movie is an action & adventure story set in the 1970s exploring the mysterious and dangerous home of the king of apes himself. It is said to unearth the origins of King Kong. Starring Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson & Brie Larson, we know these actors will not disappoint!

King Kong
This is the 2005 remake of the 1993 King Kong film. Directed, co-written, and produced by Peter Jackson, it stars Naomi Watts, Jack Black, Adrien Brody, and through motion capture, Andy Serkis as the title character. Set in 1932–33, King Kong tells the story of an overly ambitious filmmaker who coerces his cast and hired ship crew to travel to mysterious Skull Island. There they encounter Kong, a legendary giant gorilla, whom they capture and display in New York City, with tragic results.

Fun Fact: When this King Kong thriller was released in 2005 it suffered a bad opening, however it actually went on to make $550 million and became the fourth-highest grossing film in Universal Pictures history!
Planet of the Apes
imgres This is the first movie of the original Planet of the Apes film series. Taylor and two other astronauts come out of deep hibernation to find that their ship has crashed. Escaping with little more than clothes they find that they have landed on a planet where apes rule and humans are slaves.

Fun Fact: There were three other endings suggested for the film’s climax, but the one favored by Charlton Heston ultimately won out.
Conquest of the Planet of the Apes
cdn4-static-ovimg-1  Conquest of the Planet of the Apes is a 1972 sci-fi film, and is the fourth of the five films from the original planet of the apes series. It explores how the apes rebelled from humanity’s ill treatment and lead a revolt against their masters in the year of 1990.

Fun Fact: This marked Natalie Trundy‘s first appearance in ape make-up. In her previous appearances in the series she appeared as a human.
Battle for the Planet of the Apes
cdn4-static-ovimg-2 Battle for the Planet of the Apes is a 1973 sci-fi film. It is the fifth and final entry in the original Planet of the Apes series produced by Arthur P. Jacobs, following Conquest of the Planet of the Apes.  The story follows Caesar after overcoming the oppressive humans in “Conquest for the Planet of the Apes”. He must now find a way to keep the peace among the humans and apes.

Fun Fact: The scenes of Ape City in this film were filmed at the Fox Ranch, now Malibu State Park.
