Fifty Shades Darker the second installment of the Fifty Shades trilogy brought in $46.7 million over the weekend. Although Fifty Shades Darker did not take the #1 spot on the Weekend Box Office, more people are expected to check out the drama/romance out on Valentine’s Day.
Fifty Shades Darker picks up after Ana Steele left Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey. In this installment a wounded Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) tries to entice a cautious Ana Steele (Dakota Johnson) back into his life, she demands a new arrangement before she will give him another chance. As the two begin to build trust and find stability, shadowy figures from Christian’s past start to circle the couple, determined to destroy their hopes for a future together.
