All the Movies Coming Out This June 2017

Summer has arrived, and so have the blockbuster movies to accompany it. We decided to take a minute to list out all of the movies coming to theaters for you this June so you can plan your month accordingly!

Wonder Woman
Before she was Wonder Woman she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained warrior. When a pilot crashes and tells of conflict in the outside world she leaves home to fight a war to end all wars, discovering her full powers and true destiny.

Fun Fact: Wonder Woman is the first female dominant superhero film in twelve years since Elektra (2005).
Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie
Two overly imaginative pranksters named George and Harold, hypnotize their principal into thinking he’s a ridiculously enthusiastic, incredibly dimwitted superhero named Captain Underpants.

Stars: Kevin Hart, Thomas Middleditch, Ed Helms, Nick Kroll

Fun Fact: This movie is released the year of the book series’ 20th anniversary
The Mummy 
An ancient princess is awakened from her crypt beneath the desert, bringing with her malevolence gown over millennia, and terrors that defy human comprehension.

Starring: Tom Cruise, Russell Crowe

Fun Fact: This movie introduces Russell Crowe as Dr. Jekyll, which will set up the character for a standalone film in Universal’s monster universe.
Megan Leavey
Based on the true life story of a young Marine corporal whose unique discipline and bond with her military combat dog saved many lives during their deployment in Iraq.

Starring: Kate Mara, Bradley Whitford

Fun Fact: Kate Mara and the real Megan Leavey both grew up in the suburbs of NYC.
Cars 3
Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician with her own plan to win, inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet, and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage.

Rough Night
Five friends rent a beach house in Miami for a wild bachelorette weekend and accidentally kill a male stripper.

Fun Fact: The movie was originally entitled “Rock That Body”, before being renamed Rough Night.
47 Meters Down
Two sisters vacationing in Mexico are trapped in a shark cage at the bottom of the ocean. With less than an hour of oxygen left and great white sharks circling nearby, they must fight to survive.

Fun Fact: Both, Mandy Moore & Claire Holt, learned how to scuba dive for this movie. Neither actress knew how to before.
Transformers: The Last Knight
  Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lied buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth.

Fun Fact: This is the most expensive Transformers film, having a budget of 260 million dollars.
Despicable Me 3
  Gru meets his twin brother, Dru, who he never knew about.

Stars: Kristen Wiig, Steve Carell

Fun Fact: Steve Carell said that this movie may be his last as the voice of Gru. However, he would be happy to do a cameo in any future Minion sequels if asked.
The House
  A guy along with his wife blows their daughter’s college fund. Desperate for cash, they team with some neighbors to open an illegal casino in the suburbs.

Stars:  Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler

Fun Fact: Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler previously worked together 10 years ago in Blades of Glory.
