5 New Horror Movies on Netflix- September 2015

If you love a good horror flick, you’ll be excited to know Netflix has added a few to it’s selection for September 2015.

 

1. SLEEPY HOLLOW
Watch SLEEPY HOLLOW Online Sleepy Hollow is a 1999 American fantasy horror adventure film directed by Tim Burton. It is a film adaptation loosely inspired by the 1820 short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving and stars Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci, with Miranda RichardsonMichael GambonCasper Van Dienand Jeffrey Jones in supporting roles. The plot follows police constable Ichabod Crane sent from New York City to investigate a series of murders in the village of Sleepy Hollow by a mysterious Headless Horseman. It is the first film by Mandalay Pictures. Development began in 1993 at Paramount Pictures with Kevin Yagher originally set to direct Andrew Kevin Walker‘s script as a low-budget slasher film. Disagreements with Paramount resulted in Yagher being demoted to prosthetic makeup designer, and Burton was hired to direct in June 1998. Filming took place from November 1998 to May 1999, and Sleepy Hollow was released to generally favorable reviews from critics, and grossed approximately $207 million worldwide. Production designer Rick Heinrichs and set decorator Peter Young won the Academy Award for Best Art Direction.
2. THE MONSTER SQUAD
Watch THE MONSTER SQUAD Online The Monster Squad is a 1987 horror comedy film written by Shane Black and Fred Dekker and directed by Fred Dekker. It was released by Tri-Star Pictures on August 14, 1987. The film features the Universal Monsters, led by Count Dracula. They, in turn, combat a group of savvy kids out to keep them from controlling the world. This is also a twist on horror films as it re-imagines classic monsters unleashed in a 1980s setting.
3. THE FOLLOWING

The FBI calls former agent Ryan Hardy to consult on the case, as he was the one responsible for Carroll’s capture in 2003. Ryan, working closely with an FBI team, including Mike Weston and FBI Specialist Debra Parker, piece together the ever-growing web of murders orchestrated by the devious Carroll.
4. THE LOFT
Watch THE LOFT Online The Loft is a 2014 American-Belgian thriller film directed by Erik Van Looy. It is a remake of the 2008 Dutch-language Belgian film Loft, which was also directed by Van Looy. The script was written by Bart De Pauw and adapted by Wesley Strick. Starring Karl Urban and James Marsden, the remake also features Matthias Schoenaerts reprising his role from the original film. The film was shot in Summer 2011, but its theatrical release was delayed by a change of the film distributor. Dark Castle Entertainment originally acquired the US distribution rights with the intention of releasing the film through Warner Bros. When Joel Silver moved his office to Universal, he took Dark Castle, and the film with him. Universal planned to release the film on August 29, 2014, but the studio pulled it from the schedule in favor of As Above, So Below. The distribution rights transferred from Dark Castle to Open Road Films, who released the film on January 30, 2015.

Based on a comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, this AMC project focuses on the world after a zombie apocalypse. The series follows a police officer, Rick Grimes, who wakes up from a coma to find the world ravaged with zombies. Looking for his family, he and a group of survivors attempt to battle against the zombies in order to stay alive.
